An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Technician to support a thriving Visual Arts and Design Department. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and proactive individual looking to further their career in a dynamic and creative environment.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and resourceful professional with extensive technical expertise across one of the following areas: Screen Printing, Photography ( analogue & darkroom knowledge), Adobe Creative Suite or textiles (machining skills);, as well as a strong understanding of how to manage and maintain a fully equipped Art Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing workshops, supporting students and staff, maintaining specialist equipment, and contributing to creative projects.
Our facilities include a darkroom and photography studio, print room with exposure bed and print press, a Mac suite with digital equipment, and textiles facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in studio management, printmaking, photography processes, and digital media. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team, are essential.
